Sacred Valley Retreat
Why Perú has been Calling You?
There are places we choose…
and places that seem to choose us… long before we understand why.
Valle Sagrado
Sacred Valley of the Incas — The Andes
For many people, Perú isn’t just a destination on a map.
It appears in conversations.
In documentaries late at night.
In moments when life feels full on the outside — but quietly incomplete within.
You may have noticed it yourself.
A thought that keeps returning:
One day, I want to go there.
One day, I want to walk those Incan trails in the Andes.
One day, I want to feel something real again.
Not out of escape — but out of a longing to reconnect with something steady, ancient, and honest.
So, if you’ve been dreaming about Perú, it may not be random…
And Maybe the Real Question Isn’t “Why Perú?”
Maybe it’s:
What part of me has been waiting for this moment?
If something inside you feels a quiet yes, you’re invited to take the next step.
The Pilgrimage Toward Machu Picchu
For centuries, people have walked toward Machu Picchu not only as travelers, but as seekers of perspective.
Standing at that altitude, something shifts.
You remember how small your worries can feel against vast landscapes.
You feel your body differently.
Your breath deepens.
Your priorities begin to rearrange themselves quietly.
This retreat doesn’t frame the journey as a checklist —
but as a living metaphor for the path many of us are already walking internally.
Step by step.
Choice by choice.
Who this Retreat is Not For…
Not every journey is meant for everyone — and that’s okay.
The School of Ikigai creates retreats that are intentional and thoughtfully guided. To protect the integrity of the experience, we believe it’s just as important to share who this space may not feel aligned for.
✦ This may not be for you if…
You’re looking for a party atmosphere or fast transformation.
This retreat moves slowly, with respect for personal pace and integration.
You want someone else to “fix” your life or make decisions for you.
We hold space and offer guidance — but personal responsibility remains at the center of the journey.
You’re seeking an intense or extreme experience without preparation.
Our approach emphasizes grounding, reflection, and emotional safety over intensity.
You prefer large crowds or highly structured tourism itineraries.
The container is intentionally intimate so participants feel seen and supported.
Why we share this?
Boundaries create trust.
By being honest about who this retreat is and isn’t for, we help ensure that every person arrives with clarity which allows for deeper conversations, conscious connections and a meaningful collective experience.
The Moment You Know You’re Ready
You may not feel completely certain.
Most people don’t.
What they feel instead is a quiet shift — a moment when staying the same starts to feel heavier than taking a step forward.
Maybe you’ve noticed:
- You keep returning to the idea of Perú, even when you try to focus elsewhere.
- You’ve done the inner work, yet something deeper still feels unfinished.
- You’re no longer searching for quick fixes — you’re ready for an experience that asks for presence and honesty.
This retreat is not about being fearless.
It’s about recognizing when your life is asking for a different rhythm, when Mama Ayahuasca has been calling you.
And sometimes readiness doesn’t look like clarity.

Questions you may be Quietly asking yourself . . .
1 — What if I’m not sure I’m ready?
You don’t have to arrive with certainty. Most participants join because something inside them feels curious — not because they have all the answers. This retreat is designed as a guided, grounded environment where people move at their own pace. There is space for reflection, rest, and choice throughout the journey.
Readiness isn’t perfection.
It’s simply a willingness to listen to yourself honestly.
2 – What if I come alone?
Many people do.
In fact, arriving on your own often creates the deepest connections — because everyone enters the space with openness rather than pre-existing roles. The container is intention so each person feels seen, supported and respected.
3 — What if I’ve never taken Ayahuasca Medicine before?
Yes. This space is designed for both newcomers and experienced participants. Ceremonies are offered by respected local shamans within a thoughtful, well-supported setting. Preparation guidance, including dietary recommendations, is shared prior to arrival so you feel ready and supported every step of the way.
4 — Is this a safe and responsible space?
Yes — and this is something we take seriously. The School of Ikigai holds retreats with a strong emphasis on:
✦ personal responsibility
✦ emotional safety
✦ informed choice
✦ respectful facilitation
5 — What if I change my mind or feel uncertain later?
It’s natural for doubts to appear when you’re considering something meaningful. We encourage you to take your time reading, asking questions, and listening to your body before committing.
This retreat is not about rushing decisions — it’s about stepping forward when it feels aligned.
✦ Safety & Responsibility
Your well-being matters deeply to us.
The School of Ikigai approaches this retreat with intention, respect for local traditions, and a strong emphasis on personal awareness.
Participants are invited to move at their own pace, make informed choices, and honor their physical and emotional needs throughout the journey.
Preparation guidance, health forms, and clear agreements are shared in advance so everyone enters the space with clarity and mutual respect.
This is a consciously held environment — grounded in responsibility, care, and trust.
A Gentle Reminder
If you’ve been dreaming about Perú… if you keep returning to the idea of a deeper journey… there may be a reason you’re here reading these words.
You don’t need to prove anything. You only need to decide whether this moment feels like an honest next step.
What to Expect

Ayahuasca Ceremony
— Deep within the Amazonian lineage, ayahuasca has long been honored as a teacher — a mirror that invites you to sit with truth, remembrance, and the quiet voice within. Many speak of feeling called not by curiosity alone, but by a deeper longing to release what has been carried for too long and to return to a place of clarity and connection. To answer the call is not to chase an experience, but to step gently toward yourself — with humility, preparation, and respect for the sacred wisdom held by the land and those who have tended it for generations.

Ayurvedic Cuisine

Yoga and Meditation

Bachata Somatic Movement
— Within the retreat, bachata somatic movement is offered as a gentle bridge between emotion and embodiment. Guided through slow, intentional rhythm, participants are invited to listen to the language of the body — where subtle shifts in posture, breath, and presence open pathways for release and reconnection.

Rainbow Mountain Excursion

The Sacred Path of Machu Picchu
— For some, the retreat itself feels complete — and for others, there is a gentle whisper to keep walking. The Sacred Pilgrimage to Machu Picchu is offered as an optional closing chapter for those who feel called to deepen their experience in the presence of ancient stone and sky. It is a space to integrate what has been felt, to walk with intention through a landscape shaped by devotion, and to allow the journey to settle into the heart in a quiet and meaningful way. Those who choose to continue often describe it not as an addition, but as a soft return — a moment where everything begins to make sense.

Private Villa
Tucked within the Sacred Valley, our retreat home is a private villa reserved exclusively for the School of Ikigai circle in Urubamba — just 1.5 hours away from Cusco airport. Surrounded by mountain views and quiet natural beauty, the space invites a slower rhythm — one that supports rest, reflection, and genuine connection.
The villa offers a blend of comfortable shared and single bed arrangements, thoughtfully designed to create both personal space and a sense of community. Sunlit common areas, peaceful corners for journaling, heated pool and open gathering spaces allow each guest to move between solitude and togetherness with ease.
