Chief of Staff

Location: Remote
Type: Strategic Leadership Support

Role Overview

The Chief of Staff works directly with the Founder of the School of Ikigai to help steward the vision, operations, and strategic initiatives of the organization. This role is designed for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys problem-solving, and can translate ideas into execution.

The Chief of Staff acts as a strategic right-hand partner, helping coordinate partnerships, operational priorities, and new initiatives as the School of Ikigai expands its retreats, workshops, and global programming.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate founder priorities and strategic projects
• Support partnership development with organizations and collaborators
• Oversee operational systems and team coordination
• Assist in launching new programs, retreats, and initiatives
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and growth
• Serve as a trusted thought partner & right hand to the founder

Ideal Candidate

• Entrepreneurial mindset and strong initiative
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience supporting founders, executives, or startups
• Ability to operate independently and solve complex problems
• Passion for purpose-driven work and global impact

Who This Role Is NOT For

This role may not be the right fit if you:
• Prefer highly structured corporate environments with clearly defined job boundaries
• Feel uncomfortable operating in a fast-moving founder-led environment where priorities evolve
• Prefer to receive step-by-step instructions rather than helping create the structure itself
• Are not energized by supporting a visionary project that is still actively growing and evolving
• Are looking for a purely administrative role rather than a strategic and operational partnership

This position requires someone who enjoys building systems where they do not yet exist.

Compensation

This role offers a hybrid compensation structure that may include:
• Equity participation in the School of Ikigai
• Performance-based bonuses tied to growth initiatives

Equity participation is designed for someone interested in helping build the long-term vision of the organization.
